Somatotype and body composition in drug addicts admitted in a drug Rehabilitation Program In Guayaquil
Abstract:
Methods: Descriptive, longitudinal study conducted in Guayaquil between February 2018 to December 2019. Data were from 35 male drug addicts from a rehabilitation program. Inclusion criteria: Adult drug addicts admitted to a rehabilitation program who signed an informed participation consent. Exclusion criteria: Pediatric population, individuals with physical or functional disabilities, lack of mobilization autonomously, or makes anthropometric measurement difficult. Body composition was obtained using the ISAK methodology and anthropometric measurements at the beginning of the study and 22 months later. The analysis was performed using standard deviation and variance with R program commander Results: 35 participants with a mean age of 33, 6±11, 3 years.
