Some applied quantitative studies in the presence of large data masses in the social sciences

Abstract:

In this contribution we try to promote the interest in considering the challenge that the existence of large masses of data puts before the studies in the social sciences. Only the use of quantitative methods can establish the essential characteristics of the data under study. The use of agglomeration methods is discussed and it is illustrated how these were used in a specific study.
