Sources of information used in new product and process technology planning within the electron device industry
Abstract:
A survey of participants in the electron device industry has been conducted to identify best practices in the sources of information used in new product and process technology planning. The frequency of use of each source of information is quantified for both tactical and strategic time frames. Further, statistically distinguishable clusters of most-frequently used sources of information are identified as a result of this work. Distinctions also are identified between those sources of information most typically used for tactical versus strategic technology planning cycles.
