Análisis jurídico de la discriminación de personas con VIH-SIDA en el ámbito laboral ecuatoriano

Abstract:

This research is based on an analysis of current labor legal status of people living with HIV / AIDS, unknown until a quarter century ago, which is the leading cause of death worldwide. Currently, it is estimated that around 34 to 46 million people are affected by HIV / AIDS. Over 20 million people have died of AIDS. We are aware of the current problems in our country; in reference to this issue under consideration is the lack of job security for people infected with HIV-AIDS, who in a premeditated manner have been separated from their jobs in an authoritarian and inhumane way by their employers. Therefore it is important to undertake an analysis to deliver a proposal to facilitate their living conditions and which complies with the principles enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, which are: equality, right to work, non-discrimination (sex, religion, politics), a proposal that will allow a proper and fair treatment, that will benefit the country and the productive sectors will labor.
