Standarization of the seroneutralization and hemagglutination inhibition assay in serum for the diagnosis of winter dysentery

Abstract:

The laboratory diagnosis is an essential point in the control and eradication of infectious animal's diseases thereafter constitutes an important objective to develop in a country. The objective of this study was to standardize the assays of seroneutralization and hemagglutination inhibition for the serological diagnosis of winter dysentery. It developed seroneutralization and hemagglutination inhibition assay for the serological diagnosis of dysentery winter. The result of the comparison between antibody titres evaluated by SN and HI was highly significant (p <0.0001), with a correlation coefficient of 0,885. Both techniques showed values of performance that ranked as good, which makes them very useful in the national program to control the disease.
