Statistical study of the relationship between learning strategies and social interaction in students of the entrepreneurship course at the universidad regional autónoma de los andes
Abstract:
The information management and the use of strategies of learning are of vital importance for the metacognitive development of students. Likewise, the levels of social interaction in young people have been affected by an individualistic culture and emotional abstraction and the joining to the excessive and incorrect use of social networks has increased the introversion and dependence of its users. The research carried out here aims to determine the relationship of the strategies of learning and social interaction of the students of the Entrepreneurship course of the Systems Engineering Career at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes. The population of 78 students of this course is studied, which had have to answer a questionnaire about their cognitive skills obtained from four kinds of strategies and about their social interaction skills. Two models of questionnaires are applied to determine the aspects related to the strategy of learning and the social interaction of the students. Statistical reliability tests are performed on the instruments developed: validity demonstrated through expert judgment and reliability through Cronbach's alpha. The obtained data were processed by using the Spearman correlation coefficient. As a result of the research, it is appreciated that there is a direct and significant relationship between the strategies of learning and the social interaction of the students of the Entrepreneurship course of the Systems Engineering Career of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes.
