Strengthening rural Latinos' civic engagement for health: The Voceros de Salud project

Abstract:

This article describes the Latino Health Ambassadors Network (Voceros de Salud) project created to support and mobilize Latino community leaders to address health inequalities in a rural Oregon county. Voceros de Salud is discussed as a model that other rural communities may implement towards strengthening Latino civic engagement for health. © Meharry Medical College.
