Study of pertinence of Management careers at the Metropolitan University in Machala city

Abstract:

The pertinence in higher education seeks the congruence between university careers offered and the needs of the local productive sector. The objective of this research is to study the pertinence of the administrative careers of the Metropolitan University, Machala, in order to align its academic offer with business requirements as well as with the" Good Living National Plan”. A documentary research was carried out which allowed, through the testing of documents and primary sources, to achieve the objective. The results obtained show that the Metropolitan University meets the needs of existing demands in its area of influence, contributing to the achievement of national, regional and local planning objectives.
