Study of the Integration of Additives in CO2 in s-CO2 Brayton Cycles Configurations as a Working Fluid
Abstract:
The scientific community has focused on improving the thermal efficiency of solar thermal plants, this has given great relevance to the study of the variants of the Recompression CO2 Brayton cycles. In most of the investigations, the analysis and the effect of the pressure drop in the heat exchangers and recuperators on the efficiency of the system have not been taken into account; key point of this work. In addition, the importance of studying the use of additives in carbon dioxide as working fluids on the thermal efficiency at the design point in Brayton Recompression cycles (RCC) and two variants: Recompression with Main Compressor Intercooling (RCMCI) and Partial Cooling with Recompression (PCRC). The values of the heat total recuperator conductance are established between 5000 and 15000 kW/K as a methodology for the calculation of performance. The results of this research allow us to conclude that CO …
