Study of Electromagnetic Fields Distribution in Tena Electrical Substation


Abstract:

This article studies the distribution of electromagnetic fields (EMF) in medium and high voltage electrical substations. Using the method of reflected images, EMF is calculated analytically for incoming and outgoing lines, transformer bars in the substation, and aplying Matlab is visualized the distribution of EMF in a substation. Finally, the EMF distribution in the principal emission sources (transformer lines and busbars) is simulated using QuickField software. For this reason, a comparative analysis is made between the data obtained from the simulation and the calculations, to contrast these results with the information available in the EMF measurement database and the technical characteristics of the substations belonging to the National Transmission System.
