Surgical management of spontaneous parenchymal hemorrhage
Abstract:
The management of spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is still a controversial mean in whole world, without a real consensus. The lack of randomized and well controlled studies is the cause of this controversy. The most important question is if surgery plays any role in this devastating illness, if the response is affirmative, which kind of patients will be beneficiated, when is the best moment to operate, and which is the appropriate technique. This article tends to summarize current recommendations and tendencies in surgical management of ICH.
