Sustainability Policy For Manufacturing Sector. Case Of Two Developing Countries
Abstract:
In this research is made a comparative analysis between the public policies of Colombia and Mexico regarding global sustainable development and the control of the environmental impact caused by the manufacturing industry according to international agreements and guidelines of Objective 12 of the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The aforementioned objective addresses aspects related to sustainable and economic growth and the promotion of innovation. To reach the purpose of the paper a qualitative and descriptive research was performed, based on literature review of the main policies associated to the manufacturing sector. Then, policies related to energy, eco-innovation-sustainable innovation, corporate social responsibility and driven actions towards a green economy are studied.
