Synthesis, characterization and catalytic hydroformylation of 1-hexene with new hybrid systems: [Co<inf>2</inf>(CO)<inf>6</inf>(PBu<inf>3</inf>)<inf>2</inf>] and [CoCl<inf>2</inf>(PPh<inf>3</inf>)<inf>2</inf>] on functionalized SiO<inf>2</inf>


Abstract:

In this paper we present the synthesis of two new hybrid systems from [Co2(CO)6(PBu3)2] and [CoCl2(PPh3)2], supported on SiO2 funtionalized with 3-2(aminoethylamino)]trimethoxysilane and passivated with triethoxymethyl-silane, using the post-synthesis method. The hybrid systems were characterized using FT-IR, EDX-SEM, N2 adsorp-tion, ICP-AES, MS and TGA. The catalytic hydroformylation of 1-hexene was studied with the new hybrid systems proving these to be active under moderate reaction conditions.
