Systematic review for an automatic classification and segregation system for PET plastic bottles, paper and metals in universities

Abstract:

In the last years several initiatives associated to recycling and segregation systems for PET plastic bottles, paper and metals have been developed in the industry and specially in the universities around the world. In this research article, a systematic review by using PICOC methodology has been implemented, in order to understand the best way to implement this automatic system in the local field with advantages, limitations and opportunities; our findings consider just two mathematical algorithms and the approach is with low-cost sensors with PICs and high accuracy devices with PLC equipment.
