TELEWORKING: NEW LABOR MODALITY FOR TEACHERS AT UNIAN-DES SANTO DOMINGO HEADQUARTERS BEFORE COVID-19

Abstract:

The COVID-19 has changed the world and one of the most transcendent changes have been given with the labor modalities where the telematic tools have had a boom and the modality of telework has been the most applied. However, in countries like Ecuador, this modality is relatively new, so there have been questions about the efficiency index that workers can have with teleworking. For this reason, the present investigation had as objective to know if the labor performance of the teachers of Uniandes headquarters Santo Domingo has been affected by applying this new labor modality. The methodology applied was quali-quantitative and the scope was through the non-experimental design of transversal cut. In this sense, documentary research and field research were used. Of the 82 teachers, 59 responded to the questionnaire, which is considered a representative sample to give validity to the results obtained. The most plausible findings are that there has been a recurrent training by Uniandes for teachers to become familiar with the technological tools, in addition to the fact that the workload has increased and that teachers have had to invest economically in tools that allow them to develop their work activity smoothly, so that their work performance is not affected.
