THE ABBREVIATED PROCEDURE IN ECUADORIAN CRIMINAL LAW
Abstract:
The present work carried out at the Bellavista Social Rehabilitation Center, obtained information regarding the Persons Deprived of Liberty who have accepted the abbreviated procedure. These people are currently performing some form of rehabilitation in activities. These training or education courses within CRS Bellavista are carried out by those responsible for each area. In the case of labor activities, it is in charge of the Ministry of Labor and in relation to education under the management of the Ministry of Education. Examining this process made it possible to verify whether the current legal norm is effective and guarantees the social rehabilitation of the PPL or if modification of said norm is required, in order to ensure a true rehabilitation of the people who have accepted the abbreviated procedure, in order to who manages to reintegrate into society provided with new forms of subsistence through academic preparation or other skills or abilities acquired in his rehabilitation process, thus preventing the commission of other crimes upon regaining his freedom.
