Análisis narrativo de los estereotipos en las princesas de Disney: Blancanieves, Mulán y Moana


Abstract:

This article analyzes the stereotypes of princesses in Disney movies, explains the iconogrphic elements that the animated characters possess and the way how its reproduces heteronormated schemes in the stories. The work shows the differences that exist in every age, in order to contrast the representations that are made in Snow White (1937), Mulán (1998) and Moana (2016). The idea is to show if exist a transformation through the years about the narrative on this audiovisual products. The investigation is base on the speeches analysis that are displayed on those histories and the way that are implemented new ideas in the cinema. As a result, it is determinated that exist a construction of the three princesses about an androcentric view, which places women in certain roles than limit their empowerment abilities. It is observed that still exist that the male figure is relevant for telling princess stories, no matter than they are not the protagonist of this.
