THE LAUNDRY OF ASSETS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES IN ECUADOR
Abstract:
In this paper it is established to mitigate the risk of money laundering, within the companies of the insurance sector, aiming to increase awareness in managers and administrators of both public and private companies about the adverse effects it has, and the legal implications that would affect to its reputation and existence. The objective is to analyze the impact of money laundering on insurance companies, conducting surveys to gather information that helps analyze the different profiles of money launderers, and the scenarios created by them to commit crime, with a sample census of 30 members of the Economic Financial Analysis Unit (UAFE), concluding that there is a contradictory regulatory environment in insurance companies; therefore, an increase in regulatory laws to prevent money laundering will have a negative impact, since business would be reduced.
