THE TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION OF THE PYMES MANUFACTURERS OF THE AMBATO CITY. ECUADOR

Abstract:

Despite the undeniable importance today has acquired the technology as a tool for business development in Ecuador even low levels of technological innovation at the corporate level, especially in small and medium enterprises that directly affect the competitiveness of these are evident. Under this scenario, technological innovation was investigated in manufacturing SMEs in the Canton Ambato Ecuador, involving 111 companies representing a cluster sample. The data obtained was identified that manufacturing companies spend 20% of the budget for technological innovation, and do so with the aim of creating new products, relatively high percentage (64.86%) compared to the national total (37.5%).
