TOURISTIC ROUTE MODEL OF INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE ON COMMUNITY\r\nTOURISM: SALASACA EXPERIENCE\r\n

Abstract:

One of the main features of the Salasaca indigenous community is that they try to keep their cultural practices, which are the product of their peoples worldview. Under this premise and focusing itself on the objectives of the Sumak Kawsay, the community tourism in the area has been promoted. This activity is a potential economic axis and at the same time it is a strategy to improve life quality on the community. The objective of this research is to create a touristic route model of intangible cultural heritage for the development of community tourism, which is adapted to the attractive places and the community necessities. The applied methodology was an ethnographic study and a participative tourism mapping which was done by contacting the local community in Salasaca.
