Taday’s agrofestive calendar-Ecuador: a methodology for creating a sustainability experience with a dialogue of knowledge approach
Abstract:
This chapter presents the results of the project entitled ‘Ancestral knowledge and social and technological innovation of farmers, relatives of community farmers in Cañar, for the intercultural and inter-scientific dialogue, in the conceptual framework of the ecology of knowledge and the new pedagogical model’of the National University of Education (UNAE) in Ecuador. It aims to revitalize ancestral wisdom and knowledge in order to encourage social innovation. Furthermore, it also aims to produce educational materials and actions. All this is focused on the perspective of intercultural recognition, knowledge exchange and a dialogue among epistemes. This project was carried out in the parish of San Andrés de Taday. In this parish, it is vital that its knowledge and traditions are shared with other communities.
