Teaching english through arts and crafts: content-based instruction in the EFL classroom
Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to see if Teaching English through Arts and Crafts is a good way to enhance students motivation and capacity to understand and do things explained in English. This research was not only supported by Content Based Instruction (CBI), but also by Kagan s Cooperative Learning, Multiple Intelligences and Motivation Theory which were all necessary to accomplish the desired goals, and see if the planned parameters can be fulfilled. The results and conclusions were based not only on my perspective as a researcher, but also on participants answers, their parents and teacher s points of view; this fact allowed me to triangulate all the information and drawn the necessary conclusions and suggestions which are presented at the end of the study. The results clearly show that Teaching English through Arts and Crafts enhanced young learners motivation and understanding in English.
