Technological management in smes of the textile sector of the municipality maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela

Abstract:

THe rapid technological advance produced in recent years requires companies to act according to the opportunities and limitations of the environment in which they are immersed, fostering the use of technological tools, in some of them, greater business efficiency. In the present study, the determinant factors of the technological management of SMEs in the textile sector of Maracaibo municipality, Zulia state, are analyzed. THe research was developed through a descriptive, field study, non-experimental, supported by empirical data collected through a semi-structured questionnaire applied to owners, presidents, managers and administrators of the four companies affiliated to the Chamber of Industry of Zulia State (CIZ). THe results show the presence of some technological management factors in the companies studied, predominantly those referred to the technological effort. It is concluded that for the strengthening of the sector, the joint participation of the national government and productive sectors is required, for which, in addition to business factors, effective governmental support is necessary, through the design and execution of programs and policies aimed at promoting science, technology and innovation.
