Teleamazonas and Guillermo Lasso: An analysis from the Digital Public Sphere

Abstract:

A year after assuming the position of president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso faces one of the deepest crises that the country has experienced in the last 20 years. Given this, the media report from an uncritical point of view. Not so the Teleamazonas channel, which has aired several highly questioning reports about the government of President Lasso. For this analysis, the framing methodology has been used; a content analysis has been made of the opinions generated by the Teleamazonas reports on Twitter; and in-depth interviews have been conducted.
