Temperature dependence of ferromagnetic resonance of Al/Fe bilayers

Abstract:

In this work, we report the first results of a study of the dependence of ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) of Al/Fe bilayers. In-plane FMR field, HR, and linewidth, ΔH, has been obtained as a function of the azimuthal angle, φH, Al layer thickness, tAl, and temperature, T. The dependence of HR and ΔH on φH was interpreted in the framework of a model that includes cubic magnetocrystalline and out-of-plane uniaxial anisotropies, and in-plane dispersions of the cubic axes. Our study reveals the complexity of the relaxation mechanisms at the Al/Fe interface. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
