Tests of hermeticity in luminaires system of public lighting for the laboratory of lighting of the INER

Abstract:

This paper describes the process of automating the waterproofing test equipment IPX5 and IPX6 of public lighting luminaires for the INER Luminotecnia laboratory. The automation of the equipment has been carried out in order to carry out the tests by means of a human-machine interface and to generate a report that complies with what is established by the Standard IEC 60598-1. Actuators were implemented on the globe valves of the equipment air tightness. In order to monitor and record the variables involved in acceptance of the test, the programmable logic controller with which the equipment was purchased by one was replaced. With automation the equipment is in the ability to regulate the flow for each of the tests and generate a test report containing the records of the variables involved in the same.
