Abstract:

Leukemia is a blood cancer that begins when healthy blood cells change and get out of control, this is one of the most common types of cancer in children, and to a lesser extent it is also detected in young people and adults; whereas epigenetics is responsible for studying the changes in gene function that are hebkp_reditary and cannot be attributed to alterations in the DNA sequence; Epigenetics has become an important part of the development and normal functioning of cells, by means of which it is possible to arrive at exhaustive studies that allow us to confront and understand some abnormalities that may occur in human beings. There are several epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation that were addressed such as: DNA methylation, histone modifications and microRNA expression.
