The advantages of using warm up activities to engage students in the English language teaching and learning process: An experience from “Go Teacher” program
Abstract:
English in Ecuador is considered a foreign language because only a few people can communicate through it appropriately. For this reason, this work will help professors to have new ideas about Warm Up strategies in order to increase English level of students in different educational public institutions. Teaching English is a constant challenge for teachers around the world, for this reason, many of them try to find new ways of making teaching more effective and productive. One of the most important stages in an English class is the “Warm Up”. It is defined as the act of exercising or stretching in preparation for strenuous activity (Thesaurus and Webster's Dictionary, 1994).
