The challenges of competitiveness in Ecuador

Abstract:

Taking into account that competitiveness is the ability of a nation, a company or institution to achieve levels of profitability in relation to others that can be considered its competitors, then the development of nation or business competitiveness is of high importance in economic development. In the Ecuadorian context, it should be noted that the country has presented a fall in the ranking of the global competitiveness index. The difficult economic situation due to what the country is going through, together with the structural problems that persist in it, condition the urgent need to find ways to solve it as soon as possible to increase the country's levels of productivity, the economic growth and to achieve sustained and sustainable economic and social development.
