The civil war in syria and the assassination of qasem soleimani in iraq, a perspective from international law

Abstract:

The present work addresses the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, the Commander of the Quds Forces, which was carried out on January 3, 2020 at an air base in Iraq by US drones; The geopolitical and military implications are very fragile from this success that could well trigger a large-scale war in the Middle East between the Persian country in the US. The assassination of an Iranian military high command in Iraq, implies a deep transgression of International Law by the United States, since there is no express consent of Iraq to obtain the air attack, in response Iran responded by attacking the military bases of A Asad and Irbil’s in Iraq.
