The concept of low and ultralow doses

Abstract:

The low-dose tries to meet the patient's needs while keeping up the benefits and reducing the possible risks, which are often arguable. This means that the benefits would be very similar to the ones reached by the higher dosage regimens but it will also depend on the patient's response. It is known to provide endometrial protection too, however this does not rule out a thorough evaluation and a follow up of the said protection. Patients will obviously find it easier to adhere to the treatment, since adverse effects will be reduced, therefore reaching the benefits of this long-term therapy, particularly for bone density and the cardiovascular system. All the reasons above mentioned show that we actually have patients with different needs and that it would be advisable to individualize treatments. This way we will be able to increase our therapeutic elements and aim for our patient to be the one who greatly benefits from this.
