The development of vocational training motivation in journalism students with the use of ICT


Abstract:

This qualitative research gathers information from students of Social Communication of the Catholic University of Ecuador at Ibarra, to know their behavior and the importance of digital writing in their training. To this end, an online newspaper was developed from mid-March to July 2013, with students from second level in the course Print Media I. The approach to ict was analyzed and with the fourth level students in the complementary workshop Digital Journalism, content was created based on online writing and its main features such as multimedia, interactivity and hypertext. This action research allowed students to enter online writing and the digital world through design strategies and the structuring of the web platform through a Joomla template.
