The employment of statistical techniques to determine an offer of rural tourism in the area de Viñales, county of Pinar del Río.

Abstract:

The Cuban Republic has decided to foster the tourism as an alternative to increase the economy during the recent past years. To accomplish this objective it is necessary to expand the product towards other modalities, as it is the case of the rural tourism, considered as a factor to strengthen the local development. The execution of this modality in Viñales area requires the necessity to determine, among other factors, the preferences of the foreign clients when designing an offer of activities for the rural tourism, which is developed by means of statistics procedures; this aspect constitutes the main objective of this paper.
