The influence of podcasts on listening comprehension
Abstract:
Learning English, the official language in many countries, has become an educational necessity. This research aims to determine the influence of podcasts on listening comprehension on level A2.2 through field and bibliographic and statistics research to develop a teaching guide for the use of podcasts through augmented reality. The methodology used was quantitative and qualitative with a sampling of 36 students of 1st BGU from Unidad Educativa "Francisco Huerta Rendón," using a 20-item Likert scale questionnaire and an interview with an English teacher. The results show the lack of use of podcasts as a tool in listening comprehension activities, in contrast to the students' responses who express interest in the use of podcasts as an educational tool. For this reason, a teaching guide was designed in order to create a focused learning curriculum
