The justice system in Ecuador and partner violence

Abstract:

The research aims to find support mechanisms that positively impact on the resolution of a conflict affecting the health of society in general. In order to achieve this objective, the causes that influence the withdrawal of the complainant and the use of justice as a protection mechanism are identified using an analytical, descriptive and interpretative approach. The results show that there are a number of causes that lead to the abandonment of judicial proceedings without completion. These results are assessments that can be provided to the State by an initiative for the creation of comprehensive care centres with psycho-social intervention, judicial assistance, sponsorship and accompaniment for victims of violence.
