The management dependence in Spain under the pluralist management of the Welfare State

Abstract:

Given the crisis facing Welfare States, the article discusses the complementary role to be performed by each of the actors (Government, family, market-capitalist enterprises and social economy- and the so-called Third Sector) when to provide social welfare, leading to the so-called pluralist management of the Welfare State. It applies to the management of the Dependency Law in Spain, in which this approach is especially present, highlighting some of the advantages and disadvantages of this form of social welfare management, in general, and dependence, particularly.
