The morainic frontal complex of the Trueba Valley (Espinosa de los Monteros, Burgos)

Abstract:

Around Espinosa de Los Monteros (Burgos, Spain) there is the morainic frontal complex of the Trueba Pleistocene glacier. These complex has four moraine ridges well kept and four terrace levels. The two intermediate levels (T-II y T-III) link with the moraines and they are fluvioglacial deposits. It is possible to establish seven main morphogenetic phases, four of them related with the deglaciation of the Pleistocene pleniglacier.
