The profile of the tourist in the Seco Bosque Commonwealth, Ecuador.
Abstract:
The Bosque Seco Community (MBS) is a south west municipalities Association of the province of Loja-Ecuador that have been joined together to promote tourism and local community welfare searching for environmental, social/cultural and economic solutions. This Community has been suggested to develop the ecotourism, because of this activity can manage positive effects to the local people and environmental conservation. This research analyzes the visitor profile in this community (MBS) and for this study, a non-probabilistic and casual type sampling was carried out. The results show us that the visitors that travel to this study area are: domestic visitors who live close to this study area, they usually travel alone and spend only a day in the place. These tourists tend to visit cultural heritage and they are demanding activities, related to adventure or sports tourism.
