The resources of equity built into a model of urban environmental management

Abstract:

An integral conception regarding the conservation of built heritage - that is, of built resources of heritage value - demands an environmental vision of the same, through an analysis of theory and experiences related to approaches, trends and models applied to the management of those resources as a complement of the study of the attributes that constitute its heritage value. To that purpose, a conceptual model based on the urban environmental management has been developed. Such management presupposes a process that contributes to reach the equilibrium between the satisfaction of the needs of the present society and the conservation of the built resources of heritage value, in a conception of the improvement of both components that opens perspectives for the sustainability of the urban environment. © EURE.
