The right to higher education of persons with disabilities. The case of Loja Private Technical University
Abstract:
In the present article, it is analyzed the right to Higher Education of people with disabilities in Ecuador as a fundamental right inherent to the dignity of the human being, since its recognition implies to take a number of decisions and public policies by the State. The objective is to show the accessibility that this group of people has to Higher Education. For this, it is considered the case of Loja Private Technical University, that since 2014, it has generated institutional regulations aimed at eliminating barriers and adapting the social environment that allow a true insertion of this group of people in Higher Education based in international and national regulations.
