The role of language in generative theory

Abstract:

There are several theories which try to explain the phenomenon of language. But, for this article it has been considered the generative theory of Noam Chonsky, since this paradigm prevails until now. The ideas developed by this author allows to state the purpose of this article, which is to describe the role of language under this paradigm. For the description of these linguistic theories a bibliographical investigation was carried out based on books and scientific articles obtained from several repositories of national and international universities.
