The role of the board in the government of the Salinas Corporation

Abstract:

This paper examines the role of the board in the Corporate Governance of the Salinas Group, a corporation that groups several Cooperative Social Economy companies that have maintained a successful social reproduction mode for more than 40 years to change their living conditions. For this analysis, a questionnaire was used to measure, through a Likert scale, the commitment to the partners, the community, the economic resources and the environment of the managers of these solidarity companies. Nonparametric tests were used for analysis of ordinal data.
