The social benefit of tourism activity case Ecuador


Abstract:

Tourism is an activity that has developed in the country with great interest for the economic benefits that are provided, however, the non-economic benefit obtained from it has not been analyzed, the object of this article is the social benefit of the tourist activity. To do this, a descriptive, non-experimental, field study is used. It is considered a sample of 310 companies in the tourism sector at the same time a validated questionnaire is applied where the social benefit is analyzed by the influence of tourism on tourism actors. the analysis of the results shows that the personnel of the sector for the users prefers to use 57% of sports and trips; likewise, 34% consider as the contribution in their lives the desire to know new countries and learn other languages. Likewise, within the sector even promotions and prices mark the growth of the sector, being necessary the development of added value, accompanied by natural attractions and the status of the sector. That is why it is concluded that tourism has non-economic, social benefits that are related to the quality of life and the time available; it also allows the paradigm shift and with-it greater tolerance and respect for cultural diversity.
