The use of ICT in Spanish financial sector: The case of Facebook

Abstract:

We present a general overview of Historical development of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Spanish Banking Sector, taking into consideration the potential importance of the social media to develop an orientation towards the client. Finally, we focused on analyzing the use that Spanish Banks of IBEX 35, make of their Facebook pages as a tool for positioning and business development, in order to show trends and best practices of each one of the financial entities analyzed.
