The use of TIC as a resource for the development of logical reasoning skills in university students


Abstract:

This article is a revision of the use of new technologies, carried out with the students of the first semester, whose purpose has been to analyze the use of didactic tools for the development of computational thinking. It analyzes the main initiatives of the teaching of computational thinking, as well as the existing gender gap in computer education. A total of 581 students from various careers of the University of Guayaquil were evaluated. We proceeded to the processing of data from the application of various statistical techniques to obtain results that would allow reaching the pertinent conclusions and recommendations. It is concluded that, the motivating advantages of computing, this is an opportunity to innovate pedagogical practices with methodological actions that develop creativity, problem solving, decision making, planning, design, essential skills at present.
