TikTok as a Space for Educational Dissemination
Abstract:
This research seeks to implement strategies from the educational field to involve students in the realization of pedagogical material that can be used in non-traditional communication tools, one of them is the recent social network TikTok. This network was created in China and it has reached world standards of virality, being one of the main growing platforms, allowing users to create quickly short videos in a creative way, including filters, and audiovisual elements, with which it acquires virality. In this type of social networks, young people don’t adopt these platforms as part of their learning, due to the culture of ease. Rather, they see them as a refuge from their daily activity, and in some cases it becomes an obsession that influences academic performance.
