Time optimization using augmented reality for the fashion industry


Abstract:

Augmented reality is a technology that has been booming in recent years as an alternative to existing applications, as it presents a new experience in terms of information and visualization of objects immersed in the environment. In the present research, augmented reality is used to generate a change of perspective regarding the clothing market in general, with the objective of optimizing purchase times by customers, as well as increasing profits when marketing a garment, as it can be visualized superimposed on the body of the user and support thus generate a purchase decision. This proposal reduces the customer’s time when trying on a garment; however, the experience is not yet the best for achieving full adoption of the method.
