Tool for equal opportunity evaluation in dynamic organizations

Abstract:

in this paper, an attempt to model and evaluate the equal opportunity (EO) conditions of an organization is presented. The main goal is to develop tools to estimate this condition. For that, a measurement system based on clustering techniques is first proposed. In this way. and using numeric, logic and qualitative information, a degree of fulfillment of the gender-based EO is estimated. A rough model of the organization based on basic principles allows evaluating the EO condition of the organization and pointing out the effects of different strategies of hiring and promoting people. The tool is intended as an instrument to make decisions in public and private organizations sensitive to this issue.
