Towards a harmonized quality framework for in-house software development in higher education institutions

Abstract:

In this work, we present a harmonized quality framework for development and maintenance of software products in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) settings. This framework aims to provide a basis for improving the quality either of the software product or the software process of a given HEI. The proposed framework allows to adopt and adapt (harmonization) elements from different standards and models in order to be fitted according to the context constraints of an HEI. We exemplify the application of the framework with a single case study conformed of two units of analysis (the development of two software products).
