Towards web accessibility in telerehabilitation platforms
Abstract:
This research is part of the development of a web platform, that allows home support in the recovery of a patient after a partial or total hip replacement operation known as arthroplasty. Currently, there is no support system for the patient to remotely perform the exercises for recovery. The application aims to reduce recovery costs as well as to provide access to health at a low cost. Therefore, it is important to have a web system accessible to all users. To achieve this parameter, and to determine if it provides information accessible to all, regardless of the physical capabilities of the users, the accessibility guidelines were applied in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guide (WCAG) 2.0 and Website Accessibility Evaluation Methodology 1.0.
